Hi Meg, If you haven't tried mineral powder foundation, that may be the answer. It can be applied in layers so, if you choose to cover up your kisses from heaven (freckles), you may do so by applying layer by layer. Most brands have a natural sunscreen, non-irritating ingredients and leave a nice matte finish. Be sure to get the kabuki brush and the special primer most brands recommend as it does make a difference when you apply the product. Also, it may take some practice so, give yourself a couple of days to try it out. Hang in there though because I think you'll like the results. Teresa
MY QUESTION:
I have freckles and I have tried covering them up but it gets too heavy and fake looking so i just don't wear foundation at all anymore. Is there some kind of light powder?
FRECKLES question from Erin
Hi Erin, Freckles are kisses from the sun! But, if you want to fade them out, try using a moisturizer with bleaching agents in it. They work for age spots and other skin discolorations so, they could work for you, too. If you just want to camouflage them, apply concealer by patting it on then, patting on the foundation over the top and finally, patting on your translucent powder. The patting application of the concealer and foundation can be done with your fingers or a sponge. Some people prefer to apply with brushes. In any case, avoid dragging the applicator across the face, which creates streaks and will not give the desired coverage. Powder is necessary to set the foundation in place. Again, using the pad that accompanies the product, pat the powder into the face and using a big powder brush, gently brush off any excess powder. Another method, especially if your skin is oily or acne prone, is to use a mineral makeup powder. It can be applied over and over in layers to get the desired coverage. Be sure to purchase the brush and the primer that go with the powder. They really do help with application and keeping the product on the face. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Teresa
MY QUESTION:
how do i get rid of my freckles, i tried foundation but they still show?
Freckles question from Helena
Hi Helena, Freckles are kisses from God and shouldn't be covered up in my opinion. In fact, I would use a tinted moisturizer or oil free liquid foundation for a light to medium coverage letting the freckles show through. Follow up with a translucent powder. Trying to conceal freckles, as you have discovered, requires such pigmented product that it would be difficult to achieve a natural look. So, show them off! Hope that helps! Teresa
MY QUESTION: I have freckles ALL over my face, ive tried everything and i am just waisting money on things that don't work.....PLEASE HEL
