Hi Clair, Pink is a beautiful lipstick color, especially for spring and summer. Anyone can wear pink, whatever their age is. When you say "dark pink" I think of a beautiful magenta (more of a bluish pink) which is appropriate for any skin type and skin color. To make your lipstick look perfect, start with a good soft lip liner. If your lips are full and you want them to look smaller, line them inside the natural line. For thin lips to look fuller, do the opposite - line the outside of the natural lip line. Fill in with your favorite lipstick and top with a nice clear gloss or skip the lipstick and blend the liner with a pink lip gloss. Be sure to blend well so there's no lip line for a nice classic look. Thanks for your comment. Teresa
MY QUESTION:
i am in need of a lipstick that is dark pink
LIPSTICK question from Cece
Hi Cece, What a good question! Thanks for writing in. If I had to say the most popular overall color, I would say red. Most people can wear red but, the exact red depends on their skin and hair color. You see it in lots of magazines and photographs, even movies. Also, the most popular color changes throughout the year. Around the holiday times, women wear lots of reds, blue-reds, orangy-reds, maybe a matte red lipstick or a simple red lip gloss. But, as we get into spring, you see more pink, peachy, or coral lipsticks. They can also be bright like magenta or simply a transparent pink gloss. In the summertime, you see more golds and shimmery glosses. For fall, women tend to go with berry, burgundy or rust, copper type colors. Some women just have one color that is their favorite year round and they wear it with everything because they think it's the best color for them. Others have a lipstick for every outfit. What's your favorite? Teresa

What is the most popular lipstick color?
LIPS, LIPSTICK question from Angela
Hi Angela, Thanks for your great question! For your lips, use a lip primer first. There are some great ones out there that will fill in the lines around the lips and hold the lipstick better or there are some that even temporarily "plump" the appearance of the lips. Apply it around the lips going a little outside your natural line. Then, choose a lip liner that is just a shade darker than your natural color even though your lips are pale. Line the lips just outside your natural lips. Start at the "V" in the top center then, from the outside corner, draw towards the "V" until the lines meet. For the bottom lip, start with a curved line in the center (still staying outside the natural lip line) then, from the outside corner until you meet the curved line in the center. Using a lip brush blend the liner so, that it's not so dramatic. Next, use a matte lipstick - apply with the lip brush blending with the liner. For lip color, choose a color you are comfortable wearing at first. Then, as you get used to your new look, try more bold liners and lipstick colors. If you wish, apply a little gloss to the center of the bottom lip. Gloss will tend to fade quicker but, it's a nice finish. This may take some practice but, hang in there and let me know how it goes. Teresa
MY QUESTION:
my lips are pale and small. I am 50 My face is pretty round. What can I do to make mouth larger-my lipstick comes off so fast when I apply it
LIPSTICK question from Lilly
Hi Lilly, My favorite lipstick color is magenta or fuchsia. These colors look good with every skin, eye and hair color and really brighten any face. A true red will also look good on everyone but, be careful not to use a red that is too blue based or too orange based. Red can also take a bit to get used to but, it can be classy, elegant, or dramatic depending on what other colors are used on the eyes and cheeks as well as, what you are wearing. Good luck and I hope that helps. Teresa
